CIRCULAR ROUTE TO “LOS CAHORROS” GORGE

Located only 20 minutes from Granada, this spectacular gorge is a perfect location for a half day hike. We will follow Monachil river course upstream, crossing some impressive hanging bridges ( the longest one with 63 meters span), seeing some waterfalls and going inside a beautiful gorge in the northern hillside of Sierra Nevada.

TWO DAYS HIKE TO MULHACÉN PEAK

Mulhacén Peak is the highest one in spanish mainland with 3.482 masl. We will start the route from 2.000 masl in the southern hillside of Sierra Nevada up to Poqueira Mountain Shelter in the first day. The second day we will hike a circular route to reach the summit, going through glaciar lakes and valleys and enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views from the top. In clear days, we can even see African coastline and all surrounding mountain chains as Cazorla, Tejeda and Alhama and all Sierra Nevada peaks above 3.000 masl.

THE THREE THOUSANDS OF SIERRA NEVADA:
ALCAZABA, MULHACÉN & VELETA

This is an expedition from South to North to climb up the three highest peaks in the National Park: Mulhacén (3.486 masl), Veleta (3.396 masl) and Alcazaba(3.365 masl). These are the first, third and sixth highest summits in the spanish mainland.

If you want to live an authentic outdoor adventure, this is your hike. We will spend the night in a bivouac shelter up to 3.000 masl, watch the amazing summer starry sky, see sunrise from Mulhacen summit and visit some of the most beautiful glaciar valleys and lakes.
